Mat Swift Park
Columbus, GA
Created as public greenspace in the heart of the Riverfront Place development, Mat Swift park connects urban streetscapes with the Chattahoochee Riverwalk, a 22-mile greenway trail along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
The park features outdoor dining space for adjacent restaurants, a laminar flow interactive arch fountain lit with color-changing LED lights, and sculptures by artist Jeremy Thomas evoking the cotton bolls vital to the textile mill that once operated on the site.
